Two Literary Limericks

[William Wordsworth's Intimations of Immortality]
In childhood it's easy to feel,
The eternal suffusing the real'
But as the beholder
Gets steadily older
It doesn't seem like such a big deal.
                     [Nigel Andrews]

[T.S. Eliot's The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock]
An angst-ridden amorist, Fred,
Saw sartorial changes ahead;
His mind kept on ringing
With fishy girls singing.
Soft fruit also filled him with dread.
                 [J. Walker]
